A meeting and film show took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Wednesday to mark the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
Invited to the meeting were Seyed Mohsen Emadi, Iranian ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the DPRK, and his embassy members.
Present there were Yun Kang Ho, minister of Labor who is chairman of the Korea-Iran Friendship Association, officials concerned and working people in the city.
At the meeting Yun Kang Ho said that the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran was a historic event in which the Iranian people put an end to the outsiders’ domination and interference and ushered in a new era of independent development and national prosperity.
He underlined that the Korean people are pleased to see the Iranian people who smashed the moves of the hostile forces and made great successes in all fields for the last forty years.
He expressed the conviction that the meeting and film show would further consolidate the friendly and cooperative relations between the peoples of the two countries.
Seyed Mohsen Emadi said that the genuine political independence and democracy were established thanks to the Islamic Revolution of Iran against dictatorship and outsiders’ domination and for freedom, justice and independence.
He said that the historic relations between Iran and the DPRK provided by the preceding leaders of the two countries are further developing through the joint struggle against imperialism and dominationism.
He wished the peoples of Iran and the DPRK successes and prosperity.
At the end of the meeting the participants watched an Iranian feature film.
