Director-General of Pakistan Foreign Ministry Supports Korean People’s Efforts for Peace and Stability on Korean Peninsula.

Kim Tae Sop, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with Samina Mehtab, Director- General of East Asian-Pacific Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on January 8 and discussed the issues on bilateral relations.

The Director-General said that she supports the DPRK’s efforts for achieving peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and she expressed the hope that prosperity would be with the brave and diligent people of the DPRK.

Director-General of Thai Foreign Ministry Appreciates DPRK’s Foreign Policy to Address the Prevailing Situation

Kim Je Bong, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Kingdom of Thailand, met and had a talk with Arjaree Sriratananban, Director-General of the Department of East Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand on January 8.

The Ambassador informed that the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea which was presided over by Comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, set forth a revolutionary line on launching an offensive for frontal breakthrough to further push forward the socialist construction and all people have now embarked on an all-out struggle to implement the vital tasks set forth at the Plenary Meeting.

The Director-General said that all of the recent successes achieved by the Korean people in the fields of economic construction and the building of national defence are entirely an outcome of the wise leadership of His Excellency Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, and added that he highly appreciates that His Excellency Kim Jong Un stated an explicit foreign policy stand on the basis of a thoroughgoing analysis of the DPRK-U.S. relations.

Cuban Ambassador Expresses Readiness to Further Strengthen Bilateral Relations in This Year of 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Ties

Song Se Il, Director-General of the African, Arab and Latin American Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK), met and had a talk with Jesus De Los Angeles Aise Sotolongo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the DPRK, on January 14.

The Ambassador extended full support to the tasks set forth at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea and underlined his readiness to make active contributions to further strengthening and developing the bilateral ties of friendship and cooperation in 2020 which marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Cuba.

Further Development of Cultural Cooperation Between DPRK and Syria Discussed

Kim Hae Ryong, Counselor of the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) in the Syrian Arab Republic met and had a talk with Nazih al-Khouri, Assistant to the Minister of Culture of the Syrian Arab Republic, on January 8.

Issues were discussed at the talk on improving bilateral cooperation in the field of culture.

The Assistant to the Minister of Culture expressed his full support to the policy of the Party and government of the DPRK for overcoming the existing obstacles with the spirit of frontal breakthrough, and he stated his readiness to further develop the cooperation and exchange in cultural field between the two countries, each having a long history and cultural tradition.

Director of Russian Foreign Ministry Expresses Invariable Stand for Development of Traditional DPRK-Russia Relations

Jin Jong Hyop, Chargé d’ Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) in the Russian Federation, met and had a talk with Zinoviev Georgiy, Director of the First Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on January 9.

The Director said he knows that at the 5th Plenary Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission set forth the important tasks to be carried out by the Korean people, and he expressed hope that peace and security will always hold on the Korean peninsula.

He shared the view that the traditional DPRK-Russia relations should continue to develop, not being subject to any changes of situation.
