DPRK Will Do Its Best for Unity of G-77: Head of DPRK Delegation

Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho, head of the DPRK delegation, made an address at the ministerial meeting of the G-77 held in the UN Headquarters on September 22.

The “Post-2015 Development Agenda”, adopted at the Summit Conference in 2015 marking the 70th anniversary of UN, is an action program of mankind that pledges to wipe out social inequality and poverty on a global scale and build a world that ensures affluent life for not only our generation but the coming generations as well, he said, adding:

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea considers the goals set forth in the Post- 2015 Development Agenda to be in line with its policy for the construction of a thriving socialist nation and is actively involved in the global efforts towards achieving them.

DPRK FM Meets UN Secretary General

Ri Yong Ho, foreign minister of the DPRK who is head of the DPRK delegation to the 72nd Session of UN General Assembly in New York, met and had a talk with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Saturday.

The foreign minister reiterated the will of the DPRK to take the toughest countermeasures as regards the hysteric behavior of the U.S. chief executive who declared a war by threatening to “totally destroy” the DPRK and its people, something unprecedented in the UN arena.

He stressed that the UN should fulfill its duty and mission in realizing the international justice and guaranteeing the genuine peace and security of the world.
