The delegation of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Vice-Minister B. Battsetseg left here for home on Friday.
Kim Son Gyong, general director of European Department 2 of the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK, met and had a talk with Annika Soder, Swedish state secretary for Foreign Affairs, in Stockholm on May 16.
The DPRK side informed the opposite side of its principled stand to further develop the relations between the two countries and stressed that the U.S. nuclear threat and hostile policy towards the DPRK should be put to a definite end to ease tensions on the Korean peninsula and ensure peace and stability in the region.
The Swedish side said that Sweden has made steady efforts to make contribution to the development of the long-standing relations with the DPRK and guarantee of peace and security on the peninsula, and expressed its stand to continue to make efforts for the development of the bilateral relations.... ... ...
A delegation of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Vice-Minister B. Battsetseg visited Mangyongdae, the birthplace of President Kim Il Sung.
Being briefed on the stories of the old home, the guests looked round the historic relics preserved there.
The delegation also toured the Sci-Tech Complex, the Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum, the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace, etc.... ... ...
DPRK Foreign Minster Ri Yong Ho Thursday had a talk with the delegation of the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs led by Vice-Minister B. Battsetseg, which paid a courtesy call on him.
Ri Yong Ho said President Kim Il Sung visited Mongolia twice and performed undying exploits for development of the relations of friendship between the two countries.
He expressed expectation that the friendly relations with a long history and tradition would steadily develop through generations no matter how the international situation may change.... ... ...
There took place talks between Ri Kil Song, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, and B. Battsetseg, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia, here on Wednesday.
They exchanged views on the issues of further developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries with long history and tradition under the present complicated situation and revitalizing the exchange and cooperation between the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK and the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the issue of mutual concern and reached a consensus of views.
