The head of the DPRK delegation made an address at the 40th Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations on July 4.
Noting that agricultural production of each country has not yet reached a satisfactory level and hunger and malnutrition not reduced in many countries, he said:
The FAO should elaborate and diversify its assistance so that it can efficiently contribute to the efforts of the member states in achieving the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Ja Song Nam, permanent representative of the DPRK to the United Nations, Monday sent the following letter to Antonio Manuel de Oliveira Guterres, secretary general of the UN:
I would like to send this letter to you with regard to the recent incident in which the diplomatic package of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) Permanent Mission to the United Nations was taken away in New York, U.S.
On 16th of June over 20 agents of the Department of Homeland Security (according to their introduction) and policemen committed a criminal act of moving in on the diplomats of the DPRK who were en route home after attending the tenth session of the Conference of States Parties to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and took away the diplomatic package from them.

DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho Monday sent a message of greetings to Vladimir Makei, foreign minister of Belarus, on its national day.
Expressing belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would continue to develop, the message wished the foreign minister of Belarus success in his work to develop the external relations of the country on the basis of the idea of independence, peace and friendship.
Leela Mani Paudyal, Nepalese ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on June 30, as regards the assumption of his office.
Present there were Choe Hui Chol, vice- minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, officials concerned, a staff member of the Nepalese embassy and Nepalese government officials working at the missions of international bodies here.
