Senior Adviser to Ugandan President Supports Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea

Jong Tong Hak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Republic of Uganda, met with Alice Kaboyo, Senior Adviser to President of the Republic of Uganda, on March 16.

At the talks, the Senior Adviser said that she rejoices over the great successes achieved by the DPRK government and people in their efforts to carry out the tasks set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) under the wise leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and actively supports the position of the Party and government of the DPRK to reunify Korea independently and peacefully without any foreign interference.

DPRK Permanent Representative to UN Office at Geneva Delivers Statement at 46th Meeting of UNHRC

Han Tae Song, Permanent Representative of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the United Nations Office at Geneva and Other International Organizations in Switzerland delivered a statement at the ongoing 46th meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council on March 9.

At the General Debate on Item 3 “Promotion and protection of all human rights, civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights, including the right to development”, the Permanent Representative said that the DPRK is a people-centered socialist state where people are placed at the center of everything and everything serves for the people, and the politics of Comrade Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the DPRK, for prioritizing, respecting and loving the people are building up a grand flower garden which provides genuine enjoyment of human rights.

He continued: In our country, the slogan of “Everything for the people and everything by relying on them!” is the cornerstone of all government policies, and the people-first principle is fully embodied in all spheres of national activities and social life. The overall human rights of our people including the rights to existence and development are firmly guaranteed by the Socialist Constitution and other sectoral laws in the areas of election, labor, education and public health and fully exercised and enjoyed in practice, and the socialist policies like the universal 12-year compulsory education system and free medical care system are implemented as ever.

DPRK Ambassador Meets Interim President of Mali

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea to Mali paid a courtesy call on the Interim President of the Republic of Mali on March 11.

Ri Chong Gyong, the DPRK Ambassador, courteously conveyed the warm greetings sent by Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, to Interim President Bah N’daw.

The Interim President expressed deep thanks for it and asked the Ambassador to convey his heartfelt fraternal greetings to His Excellency Kim Jong Un.

Greetings to Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad

Ri Son Gwon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a message of greetings to Momodu Tangara, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Gambians Abroad of Gambia, on March 2 on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the Republic of Gambia.

He said that the two countries, since the establishment of diplomatic relations, have deepened the bonds of friendship and cooperation on the principle of respect for sovereignty, equality and mutual benefit, seeking close support and cooperation with each other on important international issues.

Convinced that the historic and traditional relations of friendship and cooperation would grow stronger in conformity with mutual interests of the peoples of the two countries, he wished the Minister success in his work.

President of National Assembly of DR Congo Ready to Further Develop Ties with DPRK

Kim Myong Sik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), met and had a talk with Christophe Mboso, President of National Assembly of DR Congo, on March 3.

At the talk, the President of National Assembly wished the DPRK government and people great success in developing the national economy and improving the people’s livelihood in hearty response to the tasks set forth at the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) under the wise leadership of His Excellency Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK. He also expressed readiness for further developing the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.
