DPRK Ambassador Meets Political Adviser to Prime Minister of Bangladesh

Pak Song Yop, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, met and had a talk on January 6 with H.T. Imam, Political Adviser to the Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

The Political Adviser expressed his hope that the Korean people would achieve successes in their efforts for accomplishing the tasks which were set forth at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea.

Both sides exchanged the views on bilateral relations and other issues of mutual interests.

Bangladesh Minister of Planning Supports Korean People’s Efforts for Continued Development

Pak Song Yop, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh met and had a talk on January 4 with Muhammad Abdul Mannan, Minister of Planning of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

The Minister expressed his hope that the government and people of the DPRK would achieve greater successes in their efforts for developing the country’s economy and strengthening the national defence.

At the talk, both sides discussed the issues for further developing the relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

DPRK Ambassador Meets Permanent Secretary of Foreign Ministry of Myanmar

Jong Ho Bom, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar met and had a talk on January 3 with U Soe Han, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The Ambassador informed that the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, which was presided over by Comrade Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, set forth a revolutionary line on launching an offensive for frontal breakthrough to further push forward the socialist construction, and all people have now embarked on an all-out struggle to implement the vital tasks set forth at the Plenary Meeting.

Concurring with the view that it is because of the misbehavior of its dialogue partner who does not keep to promise that the DPRK announced an offensive for frontal breakthrough to be launched on the basis of self-reliance and took the measures for strengthening the national defense capabilities, the Permanent Secretary said that the government of Myanmar would consistently maintain its position that peace and stability should be achieved on the Korean peninsula and all issues be resolved through dialogue and negotiation.

Algerian General Director of Foreign Ministry Expresses Readiness for Continued Development of Friendly Relations with DPRK

Song Chang Sik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, met and had a talk with Boumediene Guennad, General Director of Asia & Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria on January 7.

Discussed at the talk were the issues for developing the bilateral relations between the DPRK and Algeria.

The General Director expressed his hope that the DPRK would achieve great successes in all fields along the line set forth at the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, and he expressed the readiness to continue his efforts in the New Year for the development of friendly relations between the two countries.

Agreement Made to Further Strengthen DPRK-Syria Relations of Friendship and Cooperation as Required by Prevailing Situation

Mun Jong Nam, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) to the Syrian Arab Republic met and had a talk with Aiman Raod, Director of Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, on January 6.

Views were exchanged at the talk on the issue of bilateral relations and other international issues of mutual interests.

The Director extended full support to the Korean people who have embarked on an offensive for frontal breakthrough to open a new avenue for socialist construction by confronting the sanctions and pressure of the United States and other hostile forces, and he expressed hope that the two countries would remain committed in this year to further strengthening the bilateral cooperation in political, economic and other fields, and the mutual support and collaboration in the international arena.
