Jong Tong Hak, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Republic of Kenya, resident in the Republic of Uganda, met and had a talk with Tom Amolo, Secretary for Political Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kenya, on August 18.
The Secretary for Political Diplomacy said that the Korean people have achieved great successes in various fields in recent years under the wise leadership of H.E. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un and are dauntlessly advancing amid the worldwide catastrophe caused by the spread of COVID-19, and he continued that he would actively strive for the development of friendly relations between the two countries.
Han Song U, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Islamic Republic of Iran met with Reza Zabib, Assistant Foreign Minister & Director General of the Department of Asia and Oceania of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran and exchanged views on the issues of developing the bilateral relations between the two countries on August 16.
The Director General warmly congratulated the 72nd founding anniversary of the DPRK and highly appreciated the exploits performed by the great President Kim Il Sung and General Kim Jong Il in founding, strengthening and developing the DPRK. He said that he is pleased to see that the government and people of the DPRK are achieving great successes in the economic field.
He also expressed sympathy over the great damage caused by flood in Korea, and he hoped that restoration work in the affected areas will be successfully carried out under the leadership of H.E. Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, so that the lives of the people in those areas are stabilized.
Pak Song Yop, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, met and had a talk with Zahid Ahsan Rasel, State Minister of Youth and Sports of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, on August 15.
The State Minister said that many countries of the world are now suffering huge human and material losses caused by the large-scale epidemic COVID-19 and the heavy rain that concurred, and the only leader who has personally inspected the flood-hit area and taken an immediate measure is the respected Excellency Kim Jong Un who is formulating genuine politics for the good of the people.
He emphasized that it is consistent stand of the Ministry of Youth and Sports to increase cooperation with the DPRK in the field of sports, and he expressed his readiness to actively promote cooperation with the DPRK in various sports events in the future.
DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon sent a message of greetings to Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, Foreign Minister of Indonesia, on Monday on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its independence.
The message expressed belief that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger in the common interests of the peoples of the two countries.
Ri Son Gwon, Foreign Minister of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a message of greetings to Walid Al-Muallem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Syria, on August 14 on the occasion of the 54th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The message said that the two countries have steadily boosted mutual support and cooperation in the joint struggle for anti-imperialist independence and international justice.
The message wished the Syrian Deputy Prime Minister success in his work for the development of external relations of the country, expressing belief that the historic and traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries would grow stronger.
