Tradition of Friendship Continues to be Maintained

The friendly feelings between the peoples of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR), which were formed and tended by the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kaysone Phomvihane, esteemed leader of the Lao people, continue to run through centuries and generations.

10 years ago, on September 23, 2011, the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il together with respected Comrade Kim Jong Un had a meaningful meeting with Comrade Choummaly Sayasone, former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of the LPDR, and Comrade Thongloun Sisoulith, the then Vice-President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao government and Chairman of the Committee for the External Affairs of the LPRP who had accompanied the former.

Historic meeting on this day served as a historic milestone of great magnitude in further expanding and developing the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries as required by the new times.

Kim Tok Hun Sends Congratulations to Armenian Prime Minister

Kim Tok Hun, premier of the Cabinet of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a message of congratulations to Nikol Pashinyan, prime minister of the Republic of Armenia, on the occasion of its national day, on September 21.

The message expressed the belief that greater progress would be made in the development of the bilateral relations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries which will fall next year, and wished the prime minister great success in his responsible work for the socio-economic development.

Congratulatory Visits to DPRK Missions on Founding Anniversary of DPRK

Personages from different countries and international bodies paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions in their countries on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and the art work depicting President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il standing together, and paid tribute to them.

Don’t Mock the World

The U.S. and the Western countries have become a target of criticism and condemnation of the international society as their grave criminal acts of human rights violation came to light, which were perpetrated in Afghanistan in the past 20 years. If they have even a tiny portion of moral principles and perception, it would be prudent for them to exercise self-restraint before the world.

This notwithstanding, the U.S. and the Western countries mocked the international society once again by talking about the “respect for human rights” in Afghanistan while putting aside their own human rights crimes at the meeting of the United Nations Security Council which was held some time ago.

It is a common practice for anyone with a criminal record to keep mum, afraid lest anyone discover his or her crime and true colors.
