For Building of New Society in Developing Countries

The great Comrade Kim Il Sung is the world’s elder statesman, who put forward the clear-cut way for developing countries to defend national independence and sovereignty and to build a new society.

The great Comrade Kim Il Sung made strenuous external activities to rally the developing countries – emerged as an independent political force in the international political arena through the Bandung Conference in mid-1950s – as an anti-imperialist independent force.

Comrade Kim Il Sung, who attended the commemorative events of the 10th anniversary of the Bandung Conference (1st Asia-Africa Conference) held in Indonesia in April 1965, had significant meetings with the leaders from Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, discussing with them the ways for building a prosperous and powerful country and supporting the struggle of the people of these countries for building a new society.

Ideological and Spiritual Assets, Impetus to Victorious Advance of the Cuban People

On the 60th anniversaries of the proclamation of the socialist character of the Cuban Revolution and of the victory in the Battle of Playa Girón, we extend our warm comradely greetings to the Cuban people who are firmly adhering to the revolutionary principle and independent stand and are pushing ahead with the socialist construction by dint of unity.

60 years ago, the Cuban people, firmly united around Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz-who defined the character of the Cuban Revolution as socialism-in the face of the armed invasion of the imperialists to stifle the newly-founded Cuba at its birth, inflicted a heavy military defeat upon the hostile forces in Playa Girón, thus vigorously encouraging the Latin American people in their struggle for freedom and national independence.

“Fatherland or death, we will win!”, this slogan echoed in Playa Girón, is still kept in the hearts of the Cuban people as their firm faith in victory of revolution as well as a powerful banner of struggle for building a prosperous and powerful socialist country.

Foreign Figures Visit DPRK Missions

The Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation who doubles as the Head of the Russia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group of the State Duma of Russia, the Chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia, the Head of the Orchestra of the 21st Century of Russia and their parties paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK Embassy in Moscow on April 8 on the occasions of the 109th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 2nd anniversary of the historic visit of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the Russian Federation.

Other foreign figures of various circles also paid congratulatory visits to the DPRK missions in their countries on April 8 and 9 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun (birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung).

Floral Tribute to Statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il by Members of Vietnamese and Lao Embassies

The Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam and Laos to the DPRK and staff members of their Embassies visited the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill on April 15, the Day of the Sun.

They made a bow after laying floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of the great leaders.

A floral basket sent by Li Xiangjun, Vice-President of the Azalea Branch of China Flower Association, was laid before the statues on the same day.

President Kim Il Sung Remembered in China

Families of the Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle had a meeting to remember President Kim Il Sung at the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Beijing on April 13, on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.

Present at the meeting were families of the Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the DPRK to the People’s Republic of China and the Embassy members.

The participants laid a floral basket and bouquets before the portraits of smiling President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and paid homage to them.
