Swedish Charge d’Affaires AI Meets with Canadian Citizen

The Swedish charge d’affaires ad interim here on Friday had a meeting under the consular auspices with Rim Hyon Su, who is serving his term of sentence after the relevant judgment in Dec. 2015 as he committed hostile acts against the DPRK.

Rim talked about his health and asked the charge d’affaires ad interim to convey his request for making proactive efforts to settle his issue to the Canadian government.

The DPRK provides the Swedish embassy which looks after consular affairs of the Canadian citizens in the DPRK with the meeting under the consular auspices with Rim on the basis of the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and in the humanitarian spirit.

Malaria Day Marked in DPRK

An event took place here on Thursday on Malaria Day.

Attending it were officials of the Ministry of Public Health, public organizations and media, officials concerned and staff members of missions of international organizations here including the acting representatives of WHO and UNICEF and foreign embassy officials here.

A seminar took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Tuesday, World Population Day.

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Sunday sent a message of greetings to Khaltmaa Battulga, newly elected president of Mongolia.

Expressing the belief that the relations of friendship and cooperation between the DPRK and Mongolia with a long history and tradition will continue to develop, Kim Yong Nam wished the Mongolian president big success in his work for the development of the country.
