Message of Sympathy to Bangladeshi Prime Minister

DPRK Premier Pak Pong Ju sent a message of sympathy to Sheikh Hasina, prime minister of Bangladesh, on Thursday over tropical heavy rains that caused landslides in the southern part of the country causing heavy casualties and material loss.

The message hoped that the Bangladeshi government would eradicate the aftermath of the disaster and bring to normal the life of the residents in the affected area as early as possible.

World Blood Donor Day Marked

An event took place at the People’s Palace of Culture here on Wednesday to observe World Blood Donor Day.

Present there were officials in the field of public health and relevant units and voluntary blood donors, the acting representative of the WHO and staff members of the missions of international organizations in the DPRK and a delegation of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies working in the DPRK.

Speakers expressed thanks to the blood donors and mentioned the successes and experience gained in the field of blood transfusion.

Greetings to Queen of UK

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People’s Assembly, sent a message of greetings to Elizabeth II, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, on June 1 on her official birthday, its national day.

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Monday sent a message of greetings to Rodrigo Duterte, president of the Republic of Philippines, on the 119th anniversary of its independence.

The message expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the Myanmar president and through him to the victims and bereaved families.
