Message of Sympathy to Iranian President

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Thursday sent a message of sympathy to Hassan Rouhani, president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as regards the twin simultaneous terrorist armed attacks in Tehran that killed or wounded dozens of people.

In the message Kim expressed deep sympathy and condolences to the Iranian president and through him to the victims and bereaved families.

Resolutely condemning the terrorist attacks, the message expressed the will to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the struggle to oppose all forms of terrorism and ensure world peace and stability and wished the Iranian government successes in the efforts to ensure socio-political security of the country.

Greetings to King of Sweden

Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK, Tuesday sent a message of greetings to Carl ⅩVI Gustaf, king of Sweden, on the occasion of its national day. The message wished for the prosperity of Sweden.

Joint Friendship Gathering Held to Mark Int’l Children’s Day

A joint friendship gathering for marking the 67th anniversary of International Children’s Day took place at the Rungna People’s Pleasure Park here on Thursday.

Attending it were Choe Ryong Hae, Jon Kwang Ho, vice-premier of the Cabinet, and officials concerned and kindergarteners and teachers and women in the city.

Also, present on invitation were members of foreign embassies and international body missions here and children, women and guests of different countries and overseas compatriots.
