A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to the question raised by KCNA Tuesday as regards the fact that the U.S. is working hard to stoke the international atmosphere for pressurizing the DPRK: Recently, the U.S. is seeking to gain public support at home and abroad for a newly worked out policy called “maximum pressure and engagement” in a bid to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
U.S. President Trump personally invited the delegates of the member states of the UN Security Council to the White House to discuss the issue of the DPRK.
A closed-door briefing on the new policy toward the DPRK will be reportedly held in the White House for the senators in the presence of high-ranking officials including the State and Defense secretaries.
