Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un Sends Congratulatory Message to Indonesian President

Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message on August 17 to Joko Widodo, President of the Republic of Indonesia.

The message reads as follows:

On behalf of the government and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, I extend my warm congratulations to you and to the government and people of your country on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence of Indonesia.

After the independence, your country has made great progress in developing national economy and culture and building a prosperous society under the uplifted banner of sovereignty, independence, and non-alignment.

I take this opportunity to express my conviction that the valuable tradition of excellent friendship and cooperation between our two countries would continue to consolidate and develop as required by the new era.
