Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, sent a congratulatory message on August 31 to Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah ibni Al-marhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.
The message reads as follows:
On behalf of the government and people of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, I extend my warm congratulations to Your Majesty and the government and people of your country on the occasion of the National Day of Malaysia.
The Korean people are pleased that the people of Malaysia are making significant progress in promoting national unity and reconciliation and developing the economy of the country.
I take this opportunity to sincerely wish Your Majesty and your people greater successes in the efforts for building a prosperous and peaceful Malaysia, believing that the traditional ties of friendship and cooperation between our two countries would invariably expand and develop in various fields.
