DPRK-China Friendship Spring Gathering Held

The 2019 DPRK-China friendship spring gathering took place at the Taedonggang Diplomatic Club on Thursday in the joint name of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the DPRK-China Friendship Association, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the Chinese embassy here.

Present at the gathering were Ri Kil Song, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Pak Chun Sik, vice-minister of Culture, Pak Kyong Il, vice-chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, members of the Association, officials concerned, Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the DPRK, and his embassy members, a culture and art delegation from Jilin Province, China and Chinese guests.

The participants looked round photos introducing showplaces of Jilin Province, China and customs of the people and had a better understanding of intangible cultural heritages.

They talked to each other about the need to make tangible contributions to boosting the relations between the two countries as required by the new era in this year marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the DPRK and the People’s Republic of China.
