The DPRK Embassy in Laos hosted a reception on July 3 to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
Present at the reception on invitation were the Lao Foreign Minister, the Chairman of the Committee for External Affairs of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party(LPRP) and the President of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions who doubles as Chairman of the Laos-Korea Friendship Association, members of the Central Committee of the LPRP, and figures of various strata.
It was attended by the DPRK Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Laos and staff members of his Embassy.
Speeches were made at the Reception.
The Lao Foreign Minister said that the tradition of the bilateral friendship provided by President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Kim Il Sung is carried forward by President Bounnang Vorachith and Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Noting that during the past 45 years the two Parties and two countries have steadily developed exchange and cooperation, he expressed gratitude to the Party, government and people of the DPRK for extending invariable support and solidarity to the struggle of the Lao people.
