Heads of States of various countries and the world’s prominent statesmen honoured with the audience of President Kim Il Sung, transcending differences in ideologies, political views and religious beliefs, highly praised him with deep admiration as an example of the communist movement, extraordinary veteran statesman, great saint of humankind and the most outstanding leader representing the 20th century.
At the beginning of Juche 38(1949), a grand reception was arranged in honour of the President Kim Il Sung who paid an official visit to the Soviet Union where Stalin spoke in the highest terms of him as a true proletarian internationalist and an example of the communist movement who had defended the USSR with blood and arms from the imperialists’ aggression in the East.
In November 1958, at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, which was overcrowded with people gathered to welcome President Kim Il Sung for his visit to Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh made a speech to the effect that Comrade Kim Il Sung is a peerless hero who defeated two imperialists for the first time in the East and an outstanding leader in the building of a new society and that the Korean people, under the leadership of Comrade Kim Il Sung, are now advancing at the speed of Chollima towards the high peak of socialism, striking the world with wonder.
In acknowledgement of this, he invited all of those present to shout “Hurrah!” to extend thanks to Comrade Kim Il Sung who had inspired them with the spirit of Chollima.
Soekarno, the former President of Indonesia, also harboured warm feelings of respect and reverence towards President Kim Il Sung.
When President Kim Il Sung covered a long distance to visit his country in April 1965 with the high sense of responsibility and mission for the world revolution, Soekarno opened his heart to him saying that it is only regretful to find the land of Korea too small, as compared with the high authority of Premier Kim Il Sung.
But, he said, Premier Kim Il Sung really has the whole world as it is on the move by his hand.
At a time of meeting with President Kim Il Sung who visited China in April 1975, President Mao Zedong of China earnestly said that there is no other one but Comrade Kim Il Sung who can look after the world revolution, and that he sincerely hopes Comrade Kim Il Sung would continue, as ever, to lead the world revolution and the international communist movement.
Premier Zhou Enlai also revealed his true heart to him saying that the issue of the world revolution can be solved properly only when it is guided by Comrade Kim Il Sung who is a recognized leader of world politics, and expressed his hope that Comrade Kim Il Sung would lead the world revolution for the sake of the future of humankind.
Norodom Sihanouk, King of Cambodia, being so moved by the peerless great man who keeps to his moral obligation as ever despite the passage of time and change of the land, spoke highly of President Kim Il Sung as the sun of humankind.
Tito, the former President of the then Yugoslavia, known to be a great figure going his own way in the world, also swelled with the feelings of boundless reverence for President Kim Il Sung who was leading the independent cause of humankind to victory just steering the wheel of the times even in the upheavals of history.
After having received the valuable opinions from President Kim Il Sung, Tito said that he is just the one he has been looking for as a great man of upright character, an outstanding political philosophy and a high sense of self-respect and reason while highly praising him as the great leader of the world revolution and the Non-Aligned Movement and a peerless great man of statecraft.
Fidel Castro Ruz, the leader of the Cuban revolution, who visited our country in March 1986, was so much charmed by President Kim Il Sung after having received the valuable truth of the revolution from him.
Appearing before the audience at the mass rally in Pyongyang, he made an impassioned speech to this effect that he and his comrades will, in future, too, continue to act as propagators of the revolutionary cause of Korea, the bravery and creativity of the Korean people as well as the statesmanship and personality of President Kim Il Sung, the great and wise leader.
Heads of States of African countries also raised their voices of great reverence and trust to President Kim Il Sung who had paid deep attention to the building of a new society in the developing countries and shaped the course for independence and prosperity.
Alpha Oumar Konaré, the former President of Mali, who visited our country in December 1992 to learn from the noble statesmanship of the peerless great man, could not refrain from expressing his strong emotions.
He said that it became all clear to him from that time on after he had acquired in his heart and soul the brilliant wisdom of President Kim Il Sung which is indicating clearly the road ahead of the times.
He also said that he had been wide awake to the fact that the only way out for them is to maintain independence and realize south-south cooperation.
The former Heads of States of Africa including those of Guinea, Namibia, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Uganda did lavish praises on President Kim Il Sung expressing feelings of respect and admiration to him for his prominent political ability, noble moral traits and sense of internationalist obligation.
Praise for President Kim Il Sung got heated, who had charisma of holding the whole world with his grand aspiration, magnanimity and high reputation, transcending the differences in ideology and system.
Jimmy Carter, the former President of the U.S. spoke out his mind that he does not hesitate to say that President Kim Il Sung is far greater than three U.S. Presidents combined, who once represented the founding and destiny of the U.S.
He went on to say that President Kim Il Sung is the sun god of human destiny who is greater than all of the founding fathers and sun gods of the world combined, let alone the U.S.
After the demise of President Kim Il Sung, voices of boundless admirations and wishes for his eternal life echoed more earnestly and ardently in all parts of the earth.
Francisco da Costa Gomes, the former president of Portugal, who revered President Kim Il Sung as a genuine guardian of global peace and destiny of humankind, said with bitter grief in his heart that the long course of human history has recorded only one great man, President Kim Il Sung, who stands out in all fields, including ideology, politics, economy, culture and the military, and that the demise of President Kim Il Sung, a great man of the world, made the earth lose its weight.
Upon hearing the sad news of the demise of President Kim Il Sung in the middle of a meeting, François Mitterrand, the former President of France, could hardly refrain from his feeling of sorrow before the participants of the meeting saying that President Kim Il Sung was a great head of the state and the greatest among the great who have ever lived since the end of World War II.
