Chairman Kim Jong Il Lauded Abroad

Celebrations and book and photo exhibitions were held in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Brazil and Mexico between February 12 and 21 on the occasion of Chairman Kim Jong Il‘s birth anniversary.

Personages of various strata and masses in those countries attended the events.

Dag Norum, chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway, said that Kim Jong Il wisely led the struggle for a brighter future of the DPRK on the basis of the Juche idea.

Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, praised Kim Jong Il as an outstanding revolutionary and elder statesman who performed undying exploits for prosperity of socialist Korea and global independence.

Juha Kieksy, international secretary of the Finnish Communists’ League who doubles as chairman of the Finnish Preparatory Committee for Celebrating the Day of the Shining Star, said in his speech that Kim Jong Il was a great thinker and theoretician who enriched the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung as required by the times and that Kim Jong Il protected the country’s dignity and sovereignty and happiness of the people under the uplifted banner of Songun and laid firm groundwork for building a powerful socialist country and improving the people’s standard of living.

Rosanita Campos, vice-president of the Party for Free Motherland of Brazil, and Benigno Gonzales Villasana, chairman of the Mexico-Korea Friendship Association, praised the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il who devoted his whole life to the country and people.

Congratulatory messages to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Meanwhile, a political and cultural event was held in Venezuela to celebrate the 77th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il.
