A photo exhibition was opened at the People’s Palace of Culture on Tuesday to show the achievements gained in building socialism with the Chinese characteristics.
Present at the opening ceremony were Kim Yong Jae, Minister of External Economic Relations, Pak Kyong Il, Vice-Chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries and Chairman of the DPRK-China Friendship Association, officials concerned and Li Jinjun, Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the DPRK, members of his Embassy, Chinese guests staying in the DPRK.
Speeches were made.
Speakers said that the exhibition would help further deepen the friendship and understanding between the peoples of the two countries.
They expressed the belief that the exhibition, an event to mark the 70th anniversaries of both the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and the People’s Republic of China and the founding of the PRC, would serve as a significant occasion to promote the development of the long-standing friendship between the two countries.

The exhibition will continue till August 8.
