Foreign media gave special write-ups titled “Image of great man”, “For ideal and peace of mankind”, “The country of rosy future” illustrated with portraits of smiling Chairman Kim Jong Il and his photos on the occasion of his birth anniversary.
The Congolese newspaper Le Patriot on February 4 said that under the guidance of Kim Jong Il, the Workers’ Party of Korea developed into the ever-victorious party, the Korean People’s Army into the matchless army and the DPRK into the invincible socialist fortress.
The Tanzanian paper Uhuru on February 13 referred to the historic significance of Kim Jong Il‘s birth, noting that the Korean people celebrate with splendor his birth anniversary February 16 as the greatest holiday of the nation every year.
The organ of the Uganda National Resistance Movement Public Lens on February 5 said that Kim Jong Il‘s life was the one of warm love for the people and the one of boundless devotion, adding that his noble image as the genuine people’s leader would be kept in the hearts of the Korean people and the world progressives forever.
The February 16-28 issue of the Indian newspaper World’s Mirror said that Kim Jong Il laid bare the reactionary nature of the abuses of socialism and proved the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and inevitability of its triumph in his famous works including “Socialism Is a Science”.
The February issue of the Bulgarian newspaper Iskra pointed out that Kim Jong Il performed exploits to be recorded for centuries in all fabrics of social life including politics, economy, military affair and culture during the whole period of his revolutionary leadership.
The South African newspaper Laudium Sun on February 15 carried an article on the exploits performed by Kim Jong Il in developing the DPRK into an invincible military power.
