Sergei Lavrov, foreign minister of the Russian Federation, and his party laid a wreath at the Liberation Tower on Thursday.
Accompanying them were Sin Hong Chol, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs of the DPRK, Alexandr Matsegora, Russian ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy here.
A wreath in the name of the Russian foreign minister was placed at the tower.
The participants observed a moment’s silence in memory of the martyrs of the Soviet Army who fell in the battles for liberating Korea.
