Seminars, lectures and film shows took place in Russia, Romania, Belarus, Italy, Serbia, Bangladesh, India, Thailand, Guinea, Nigeria, DR Congo, Uganda and Brazil on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The participants in the film shows watched the Korean films about the President’s revolutionary career, feats and noble outlook on the rising generation.
Attending the events were public figures and citizens in those countries.
First Secretary of the Khabarovsk Kraj Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lenin Young Communist League of the Russian Federation said that the demise of the President was a great loss to the Korean people as well as to all other progressives in the world. They praised the President as a legendary hero of the Korean nation and an ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commander.
Chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania and Chairman of the Romania-Korea Friendship Association stressed that the President’s feats would be kept forever in the hearts of all the people.
Belarusian and Serbian personages said that the President was the great leader of the Korean people who had devoted his whole life to the independence and prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people and was a distinguished great man in the 20th century.
Chairman of the Italian Committee for the Study of Songun Idea for Independence and Sovereignty and the chief editor of La Voce praised the President as an extraordinary thinker and theoretician, great statesman, peerless military strategist and the greatest man who firmly defended the freedom and independence of the DPRK.
A memorial service was held in Britain on the same occasion.
