A seminar took place at the Grand People’s Study House on Monday to mark the World Health Day.
Present at the seminar were officials in the fields of public health and media and members of international organizations here including the acting representative of the WHO and the UN resident coordinator here.
At the seminar on the theme of “Universal Health Coverage”, speakers noted that the cost of minimum initial service package goes up day by day and the number of people out of primary health care is on a steady increase due to political, social and economic conditions, natural disaster and so forth.
They stressed the need for all the countries to ensure enough materials and human resources for establishing health service system for all the people for attaining sustainable development goals and developing health service and to improve the capacity of health workers.
Then, speeches were made there.
At the end of the seminar the attendees looked round posters and photos dealing with universal health service.
On the same day the intensive hygienic information service took place in every province.
