An event to mark the World Tuberculosis Day took place at the People’s Palace of Culture on Monday.
Attending it were healthcare workers, relevant officials, the WHO representative and members of missions of other international organizations here.
Speeches were made at the event.
Speakers informed the participants of the subject of the event and underscored the importance of full cooperation between medical institutions and relevant units aimed at stamping out TB.
They also emphasized that efforts should be made to raise public awareness of the importance and significance of TB treatment, and called for strengthening the prevention and cure of TB.
The achievements made in the treatment of TB-related diseases were introduced and future program was made public. There were also questions and answers on the TB prevention.
Then the participants enjoyed a performance given by the hygienic information team of students.
On the same day, there took place intensive hygienic information activities in all provinces on the occasion.
