Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), sent a congratulatory message to Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on June 12.
The message reads as follows:
On behalf of the government and people of the DPRK, I extend my warm congratulations to you and to the friendly government and people of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the National Day of the Russian Federation.
It is the common aspiration and desire of the peoples of the two countries to value and further develop the friendly DPRK-Russia relations with a long history and tradition as required by the new times.
I am convinced that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Russia that have entered a new stage of development since our first meeting in Vladivostok of Russia would steadily grow stronger in all fields.
I take this opportunity to sincerely wish you good health as well as great successes in your work. I extend the same kind of wish to your people for welfare and prosperity.
